Why SMGLR exists
Clean listings can hide expensive problems.
Most buyers only see the seller's best photos, a short test drive and whatever the seller chooses to mention. SMGLR was built to put evidence back on the buyer's side: diagnostic evidence, photos of significant findings, road-test feedback, PPSR checks and clear buyer advice before the car becomes your problem.

What we stand for

Direct from the first message
No booking form. Your message goes straight to the inspector handling your job, before and after the inspection.
The inspection ends. Our support doesn’t.
Follow-up clarification about the inspected vehicle is included. Ask about a finding or discuss the seller’s response directly with your inspector. Replies are subject to availability. Further testing or another vehicle inspection is quoted separately.
Buyer-side only
SMGLR is not paid by sellers or dealers. The inspection is written for the person taking the financial risk: the buyer.
Clear evidence
Your report is supported with photos and videos of key findings, diagnostic information where available and a direct explanation of the important findings. Premium also includes a full body detailed assessment, supported live-data analysis and a full exterior and interior video. Plus adds repair-cost, price and negotiation guidance. A CarHistory Report is available with Essential, Premium or Plus for +$30. A full road-test video with Meta smart glasses is available with Essential or Premium for +$30 where safe, legal and permitted, and is included with Plus.
Mechanical and road-test checks
Engine bay condition, leaks, brakes, tyres, suspension, steering feel and road-test behaviour where safe and permitted.
Diagnostics
Essential includes a professional fault-code scan of accessible modules, battery and charging checks and warning-light review. Premium adds supported live-data analysis.
Body, history and buyer risk
Essential covers basic visible body condition and PPSR status. Premium adds a detailed body and panel inspection and odometer consistency analysis.
How the inspection feels
You get more than a checklist.
A checklist alone doesn’t explain what a finding means for your buying decision. A proper buyer-side inspection tells you what matters, what it could cost, what needs further investigation and whether the risk makes sense for the car's price.
Before
Send the listing, location and concerns. We confirm the service, access and timing before payment.
During
The car is checked at the seller or dealer location, subject to safe access, permission and mobile-inspection limits.
After
Your digital report is delivered within 1 hour of inspection completion, followed by a direct explanation of the important findings, risks and next steps.
The honest limit: no mobile inspection can guarantee a perfect car or see through covers, sealed components or hidden internal faults. SMGLR's job is to reduce your risk, show what was found, explain what could not be confirmed and help you make a better buying decision.
